Chief Operating Officer
Nigel Ekern is the Chief Operating Officer of Revere. He has more than 30 years of experience investing in credit and private equity markets and has managed alternative investment advisors focused on the distressed credit, buyout, securitization and systematic global macro markets. Prior to Revere, Mr. Ekern co-founded Piney Lake Capital Management LP, a Greenwich, CT–based hedge fund manager focused on private credit and special situation investments. Prior to Piney Lake, Mr. Ekern was a Principal of Eclipse Capital Management, Inc., a global macro hedge fund manager based in St. Louis, where he was responsible for global business development. He joined Eclipse from Quest Partners LLC, a New York-based global macro manager, where as President, he managed Quest's business operations and led the global business development effort.
Prior to joining Quest, Mr. Ekern was the COO and co-founder of Noroton Capital Management LLC, a distressed credit-focused hedge fund based in Connecticut. Prior to Noroton, Mr. Ekern managed two publicly traded SEC-registered investment vehicles controlled by a Connecticut-based family office. Previously, Mr. Ekern practiced corporate law in New York City with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP before becoming an investment banker and later a Partner in a middle market-focused private equity firm based in New York. Mr. Ekern began his career with Chemical Banking Corporation (predecessor to JP Morgan Chase) where he completed Chemical's credit training program. Mr. Ekern holds a JD-MBA degree from New York University and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
